Redcliffe Dog Obedience Club

General Information
RDOC has been an Incorporated Association since 1995 and is an affiliated member of the Canine Control Council (Queensland), the state controlling body for the Australian National Kennel Council. The club initially formed about 1989 and has operated from a number of locations until the then Redcliffe City Council granted a small lease in Filmer Park in 1995 on which the club house now stands. We share our current training area with the Peninsula Cricket Club.

The club offers Obedience training for all dogs and people.

The club runs weekly classes that allow dogs and owners to progress through four levels of obedience. Not only does this give a sense of personal achievement, but it provides a forum in which dog owners can socialize, exercise and train their dogs in a positive healthy way, while also being educated in the appropriate care of their dogs.

The club caters for those people who just want a well-mannered family pet and for those who wish to take their training further into the sport of Obedience Trialing. RDOC provides coaching for those already trialing, and those wishing to trial at Obedience Trials.

RDOC hosts two obedience trials each year and assists in the training of Trial Judges. While RDOC offers the highest standard of Obedience training possible, other dog clubs around Brisbane also cater for sports such as agility, flyball, retrieving and tracking. We are only too happy to assist you in contacting these clubs.

Club members freely give their time for demonstrations at schools etc. to help promote responsible dog ownership and dog activities.
